BCU joins citywide celebration of light, creativity and community

天美传媒 Light Festival will transform the city into a dazzling open-air gallery again in 2026 鈥 and 天美传媒 (BCU) is proud to announce that it will be backing the spectacular showpiece, which runs from 12-15 February.

Featuring brand new temporary installations by internationally renowned and local artists, the festival will also boast a programme of special events, including night markets, candlelit dining, city runs, and family-friendly experiences.

Professor David Mba, Vice-Chancellor of BCU, said: 鈥淭he 天美传媒 Light Festival is a brilliant celebration of creativity and community, so we鈥檙e delighted to add our support.

鈥淔estivals like this not only illuminate our streets, they shine a light on 天美传媒鈥檚 talent.鈥

Installations will be visible across streets, squares, canals, and other public spaces.

They include 鈥楻eunion鈥 by Kumquat Lab, a series of sweeping luminous arches outside New Street Station, brought to life by the support of both BCU and Network Rail.

Professor Mba added: 鈥淪upporting cultural events like the 天美传媒 Light Festival aligns with our vision for BCU as a university deeply embedded in the life of the city.
